ENTRY TOP TIPS
⭐ Read the criteria
Before you start your entry, decide which categories you are going to enter and read the specific criteria before starting your entry. The criteria informs you everything you need to know about the award and what the judges will be looking for. It also tells you what information to include. Remember these awards cover the Asian market ONLY.
⭐ ASIA-centric
These awards cover the Asian market ONLY. Please only talk about the Asian market and the Asian channel.
⭐ The more personal the better
Keep your text factual and concise. Corporate and marketing jargon is not helpful. Do not copy marketing descriptions from your website. Just imagine that you are telling your story to the jury. Get involved so that the article is lively and interesting to read. Feel free to be humorous. And also think about how the story will look visually. Long, boring texts are not particularly reader friendly. Think about how your article will stand out from the crowd.
⭐ Don't copy and paste
We actively encourage PDF entries, or videos, but text entries are still acceptable – however please don’t just cut and paste a massive block of corporate text on the site – some spacing is important. Please try and make it easy to read visually for the judges before submitting.
⭐ Relevance is crucial
Make sure your post fits the category you are submitting it to. If you are writing about a product, it is important to focus on its benefits for customers or partners and not just talk about features and specs. All posts should demonstrate a benefit for the channel or through the channel for the end customer.
⭐ Facts and figures! Always
Include facts and figures – if you are making a claim about being the best at something – back that claim up with something tangible. Demonstrate your growth/achievements. Anyone can claim they are the best – proving it is the difficult part.
Resellers – explain what value you are providing to your end user customers – why are they using your company, what do you offer them that nobody else can? What value do you offer your vendor partners? Why do they continue to work with you? Explaining both ends of the spectrum will make the entry more rounded.
Distributors – explain what value you are providing to your resellers – why are they using your services, what do you offer that makes you stand out from the crowd? Also, what value do you bring to your vendor partners? Why do they continue to work with you?
Vendors – explain what support you are offering your Asian resellers and distributors. Why do they continue to work with you? How are you demonstrating that the channel is your preferred route to market? What value do you provide to your channel partners? Please make your entry Asia relevant.
⭐ Testimonials
These are MANDATORY – resellers, these could be from your customers, distributors, from your resellers or vendors, and vendors, from your distributors or resellers (not end users). Again, make sure the testimonials are interesting to read and are not full of corporate/marketing speak and keep them short and to the point. No testimonials will result in lost points and could cost you a place on the shortlist or even a trophy.
⭐ Less is more
Focus on one entry for one category. Write ONE winning entry. The judges will take offense if you submit the same entry for multiple categories.
⭐ Comply with specifications
We love PDFs and video entries. But pay attention to the word and time limits. Videos longer than five minutes will not be considered by the jury and you will end up wasting time and resources. The same goes for text entries.
⭐ Appendices
Please make sure that you add a maximum of one attachment to your entry. The jury will not consider multiple attachments. And that would be a shame.
The deadline is Friday 30 May, 5pm SST.
